A Treasure Hunt for the Soul
Old-school pen and paper in a digital world.
A handwritten Bible verse. A scrap of paper. Left anonymously for someone to find.
What Are Verse Scraps?
There is no app to open, no account to keep, no recognition needed. Only paper, ink, Scripture, and the quiet hope that it reaches whoever needs it.
I
Choose any Bible verse you feel moved to share. Copy it slowly onto a small scrap of paper in your own handwriting — imperfect letters and all.
II
Leave it somewhere appropriate where you're permitted to do so. Don't create litter or interfere with someone else's property. No name. No note about you. Then walk away.
III
A stranger finds it on an ordinary day, in the middle of something else entirely. You will never know who. That is rather the point.
The Story
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119:105
Verse Scraps began with a simple thought: What if a few handwritten words of Scripture, left anonymously for someone to discover, reached exactly the person who needed them?
We think there ought to be more of them in the world.
